'Kung Fu Panda 3' proves once again that this franchise is always here to stay, and its formula is never going to be tiresome to many. Even the charm of the lead character Po (voiced by Jack Black) never fades, despite the previous movie being released 5 years ago.

The fact that the film disregards the "going bigger" notion every sequels had to do became advantageous on creating an emotional journey for its characters, as shown with Po getting to know more about his long lost father (Bryan Cranston) and the hidden village of his presumed-dead species.

The visual style alone is worth a price of admission, using different color cues to create personalities out of its multiple characters. The action sequences really benefited on this, and the result is as beautiful as you'd expect from it.

A part light-hearted fatherhood drama, and martial arts extravaganza, 'Kung Fu Panda 3' easily trumps itself as the best of the franchise without making itself more bombastic. Pretty fun stuff!

The geek rates it 8/10!
