Francis Ford Coppola's long-awaited "Megalopolis" is coming to Australia and New Zealand cinemas this September 26, 2024, Madman Entertainment announced in a social post.

The film follows Cesar, a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero, who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare. It stars Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Giancarlo Esposito, Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight.

"Megalopolis" made its waves in various film festivals, including the Cannes International Film Festival where it competed for the Palm d'Or and most recently, at the Sydney Film Festival.
